Foundation of Hoops Tournament Program

Foundation of Hoops tournaments are created with the idea of placing teams in a position to compete against others that are of similar talent.

Tournament Format

FOH Tournaments will be 3 Game Guarantee Events.  This will give teams a chance to play multiple games on a weekend, but not over-expose the players on a weekend.

Levels of Play/Divisions

We will offer multiple divisions within a tournament with the goal of creating the most competitive balance that we can for each team.  Divisions may vary in size or format across an event or the season.    This is not a classification process, but merely a way to organize teams to maximize the competition.

Tournament Pricing

Tournaments will be in the $160-$200 range per team.  There will be a gate fee charged on-site for all events.  This will be $5 per person for adults (16 and older) per day.

Tournament Activities and Features

For all of the FOH events, we will have some additional activities and aspects that will make them unique.  Here are some of the features that will be included at each event.

  • Game MVP Medals.  We will provide a Game MVP medal that will be awarded for each pool game of the tournament.  The coaches will work in conjunction with the referees to nominate players on each to be awarded these medals.  **We ask this award to be presented to someone new each game to maximize the recognition that can be provided for each team.
  • Post-Tournament Wrap-up.  This is a post-event newsletter that includes a division wrap-up, champions photos, and tournament write-ups.
  • STAR WATCH.  A weekly series that focuses on the great performances of each event.  (CLICK HERE for a sample)
  • Tournament Awards.  Tournament awards for Champion and Runner-Up in all divisions.  For divisions with 8 teams or more, 3rd place awards will be given. 
  • Sportsmanship/Character Awards.  We want to recognize and award teams and players that understand the value and need for learning sportsmanship and a sense of community through athletics.  We will try to tie many of our events with community based programming or service based organizations.
