Fellow Staff, Coaches, and Friends,
It saddens me deeply that our great friend, Josh Williams tragically lost his life in an accidental death on Wednesday, August 22nd. For you that have worked with MSP and USSSA over the past 4 years you have ran into Josh, talked with Josh, or emailed with him. His life was cut way short at age 34 but his legacy and memory will resonate through those that knew him. We will always remember Josh as never meeting a stranger, to always taking time for the next person in line wanting to talk sports or whatever might be on your mind. He had trademarked the phrase “MSP LOVE” and could always take a tense situation and make it light with his big smile and HUGE heart. Josh’s drive every day was truly these kids and how he could impact them on and off the court/field. He is going to be missed here at MSP but what we truly are going to miss is all our friendship bonds we had with each other. This goodbye is for now and can’t wait to rejoice with our brother soon!!!
I know that none of us truly understand the impact Josh has made on so many of us and if you would like to share a memory or a condolences to family and friends, we would welcome that. Go to http://www.aldenharrington.com/book-of-memories/1322753/Williams-Joshua/view-condolences.php
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be given to the Josh Williams Memorial Account in care of Sandra Williams. This fund has been set-up at Union Bank & Trust in Bonner Springs. Donations can be made by contacting the bank at 913-441-6600 or on location at 309 Oak St., Bonner Springs, KS. In addition, donations can be given at the visitation at Harrington Funeral Home or at the service at Westside Family Church.
Please pass this information along to anyone that might have been touched by Josh throughout his life. Even though some of us have known Josh for over 20 years we are finding out today how widespread his love was spread.
