Today, teens struggle with many challenging disorders and addictions. To help families, coaches, and our community better understand these complex issues, Midwest Sports Production and Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center will present “Strategies for Hope: Understanding Addiction, Depression, Self-Harm, and Eating Disorders in Teens.”

Speakers will include Margaret Nagib, PsyD, Spirituality Clinical Coordinator and Primary Therapist at Timberline Knolls, and Bill Severns, author of “Keepers of the Sandlot” and motivational speaker about kids and life lessons. Inspirational music will be provided by Todd Warren, nationally known singer and songwriter, and an interactive discussion will take place following the presentations.
Parents, coaches and players, mental health professionals, church and community leaders are invited to join us for this informative event. No childcare will be available, so please make arrangements in advance.
About Dr. Nagib:
Dr. Nagib is a clinical psychologist at Timberline Knolls specializing in Christian counseling, inner healing and treating eating disorders, trauma, addiction, self-injury and mood disorders. She received her doctorate at Wheaton College and also received two years of ministerial training at Bethel Church’s School of Supernatural Ministry in Redding, CA. Dr. Nagib is an expert in providing treatment from a Christian perspective, she has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Today’s Christian Woman magazine, “The Everlasting Love” - a Christian public affairs television program broadcast throughout Chicago, and “Doctor to Doctor” on Trinity Broadcasting Network. She is a frequent speaker on the topic of mental health and Christian treatment nationwide.
About Bill Severns:
Bill is a former professional baseball player and All-American at the University of Oklahoma. During college, he participated in four College World Series and was a staff member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Bill has since spent nearly three decades coaching his son’s little league teams in Kansas City. This experience led
him to author two books. The first, “Keepers of the Sandlot,” is dedicated to parents, players and coaches, and teaches life lessons based on Bill’s experience at every level of the game. The second book, “The Sandlot Strategy,” will be released this spring.

As Spirituality Coordinator at Timberline Knolls, Todd uses music to help residents express and celebrate their spirituality. Todd is a nationally known songwriter, recording artist and ordained minister and can be heard on The Message on Sirius XM Radio.
