Rules/Information: Teams are invited to decorate their dugout throughout the weekend in a Halloween theme. There will be a judge that will evaluate your dugout on multiple criteria (including: originality, use of props, consistency of theme, etc.) at one specified game. The only limitation should be your imagination. Teams will be notified which game they will have judged to allow them to go ALL OUT on that game.

Judging will take into consideration your costume, choreography, originality of dance, theme of your music, and of course: BONUS POINTS FOR COACH INVOLVEMENT. The Dance-off can be done anytime on Saturday. Please remember to bring your own music and dancing Softball Coach.
Pumpkin Carving Contest
Time/Day: Saturday submission by the end of the day
We will be supplying the pumpkins for this event. All that your team needs to supply is the pumpkin carving devices and the creativity. You will select and carve your pumpkin on Saturday and submit it to the tournament director's office by the end of the day. The only rules are that the players on the team must carve the pumpkin and stencils are not allowed. You will need to include your team's Name & Age/Division on the pumpkin. The theme could or should encompass softball and Halloween, and tie in to your team's overall design theme of your dugout and costumes.

What theme can/should we use?
Your theme can be anything you want to use. It should be consistent through your costumes and your dugout. I would give examples, but don't want to give anyone's idea away. Let your creativity go WILD!!!! If it is going to be extremely crazy or involved, contact us to be sure we can do it with the complex.
Is there a cost for any of the Activities (Contests, Fun Services, etc.)?
The contests are free. The only activities that will have a charge is the Fun Services. It is $5 for a bracelet for access for the entire time they are present.
Are Uniforms/Uniform Numbers Required? What are the rules on Costumes?
Uniforms and Uniform Numbers are NOT required. It may be a little more challenging on the scorekeeper, but the goal is to have as many creative costumes as we can get.
- Costumes can be worn for the entire game. They are not required, as we do not want to limit the costumes, but want to be conscientious about safety. If you have extensive costumes that you will not play in, please be sure bench personnel (like coaches) are in costume so the Judge will see said costumes.
What are the Game MVP awards, and how do they work?
For each game of the pool play, teams will be provided with GAME MVP medals. These medals are to be presented to the MVP player of the game from the opposing team. We ask that you speak with the coaches of the other team to avoid repeat awards of a medal to a player. Example: If a player gets a Game MVP medal during the teams’ first pool game. Please choose a different player for their second game.
