Mid-America/Mid-America West Sports Complex

The Monster Bash tournament began five seasons ago at Basehor-Field of Dreams with 22 teams.  Over those past five season, the tournament has grown in activities, atmosphere, and in teams.

 For 2008, we will be taking the Monster Bash tournament to Mid-America and Mid-America West Sports Complexes in Shawnee, KS.  In 2007, we had access to fifteen total fields.  For the 2008 addition, we will have access to 22 total fields, bringing the capacity for the event to 175 TEAMS!!!!!

 There will be the traditional events including the Spirit Contest, Dugout Decorating and the Pumpkin Carving; but we will also be looking to add some new events to the weekend. 

 We will be accepting entries for this event immediately.  Knowing that the tournament is in October of ‘08, we will post teams to our Look Who’s Coming list as they enter.

mONSTER bASH dANCE-oFF

During the Monster Bash, we will be having a team dance competition. Each team will be able to select their own song, and create a coreographed dance routine. Thesong can be of Halloween theme, or related to your team's costumes. (Please bring a CD with your song in case our DJ does nothave it or you mix your own). Judging will take into consideration your costumes, choreography, originality of dance, theme of your music, and of course:
BONUS POINTS FOR COACHES DANCING!!!!!

Spirit ContesT
This contest involves everyone associated with your team.  This will include the Dugout Decorating, Pumpkin Carving, Costumes by players, coaches, and fans, and any “atmosphere” created by teams and their members.

DUGOUT DECORATING CONTEST

Teams are invited to decorate their dugout throughout the weekend in a Halloween theme.  We will have a judge that will evaluate your dugout on multiple criteria (including: originality, use of props, consistency in theme, etc.) at one specified game.   Let your creativity be your only limitation.

PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST

This contest is a team contest where your pumpkin design will be judged against other teams.  There will be a designated theme for the contest that your team must adhere to for the contest. 

FUN SERVICES ACTIVITIES

Fun Services will be on-site with a 22-foot slide, a Moonwalk, and an Obstacle Course.  For these activities, kids can purchase a $5 bracelet that will give them access for the entire weekend. 

GAME MVP MEDALS

As is tradition with all of our theme tournaments, we will be awarding Game MVP medals for the pool play games.  Each team will chose a player from the other team to award this medal to after the conclusion of each pool game.
