Tim Cordill has joined the MSP family as Director of Umpire Culture, Recruitment, Training & Retention.
“Over the past two years, I have worked alongside Jeremy McDowell (owner and CEO of MSP) on the advancement and development of the umpire experience at games,” said Cordill. “We have some amazing people that work in our umpire ranks and we owe it to those people to give them the support and leadership they need to grow and improve.”
Cordill has been an umpire for more than 30 years, working everything from Little League to the NCAA Division I Super Regional Tournament. He is also a current umpire for the Big 12 Conference, the Big 10 Conference and the Big East Conference and spent time as a professional umpire. Currently, Cordill is also the National Umpire in Chief for USSSA Baseball.
“I am humbled to be chosen to lead this initiative, not only for MSP but for Kansas City and the surround communities and states in which they operate,” said Cordill. “Jeremy has made an unprecedented investment into these amazing umpires and I am honored to join the MSP team on this journey that will impact so many lives and different organizations.”
A graduate of Washington High School in Kansas City, Kan., he holds a teaching degree from Park University. He has been married to his wife, Robin, for 16 years and they have four children – Kaia, Meadow, Harper and Tim, Jr.
