Wichita Monster Bash Results

The 2019 fall season is winding down and there were four tournaments across the region for teams looking to get a few more rips in before the end.

At the Wichita Monster Bash, the Kansas Renegades Magnus 16A came away as the first-place finishers in the 18B division. The Renegades went undefeated on the weekend with a 6-0 record and outscored opponents 48-16.

Wichita Mustangs 14U were the winners in the 16B division with a 6-0 record. The Mustangs won the championship game over Strike Zone Select 14A. Strike Zone Select went 5-1 on the weekend with their only loss coming in the championship game.

The 16C division was won by G2 Heat 16 Forgit after they went undefeated with a 5-0 record and outscored opponents 46-7.

The 14B bracket was split into a top flight and lower flight. Wichita Red Sox were the winners from the top flight winning the championship game 7-4 over the Wichita Stars. Kansas Blue Sox 14U Orange were the winners from the lower flight winning the championship game over Derby Lightning 14-5.

The 14C bracket was also split into a top flight and lower flight with the ML Sparks winning the top flight after a very competitive championship game beating the Dust Monkeys 1-0. Hays Hustle won the lower flight bracket after winning the championship game 8-5 over the Coffey County Chaos.

Kansas Premier were the winners in the 12B division going 6-0 on the weekend and outscoring opponents 51-20. Kansas Premier defeated Team Synergy in the championship.

The 12C division was loaded with teams and the brackets were split into top flight, middle flight and lower flight. Pratt Diamonds 12U – Newell were the winners of the top flight defeating Kansas Blue Sox 12U Orange 10-2 in the championship game. Hutch Misfits won the middle flight defeating Kansas Blue Sox 12U Blue 8-7 in a competitive championship game. Kansas Renegades Taylor were the winners in the lower flight after defeating the Wellington Rebels 8-0 in the championship.

In the 10C division, G2 Heat 10 Elliot were the winners in the top flight bracket after defeating Newton Lady Railers 10U 2-0 in a close championship game. Midwest Smoke defeated the Southeast Hornets in the championship game 7-2 to take first place in the lower flight.

The Titans won the 8U division after going 4-1 on the weekend and defeating the Kansas Renegades 2011 by a score of 9-7 in a close championship game.

The best 14B team in the area has been crowned. Impact Softball came away with the top finish in the Super 48 14B. This exciting tournament was filled with over 40 of the top 14B teams in the area. Impact Softball went undefeated on the weekend with a 9-0 record and outscored their opponents 83-20. Impact Softball currently has a 23-2 record.

At the Old Man Winter fastpitch tournament, AFA 18U Impact came away as the winners of the High School A division over Louisville Slugger KC- 16 Gold. AFA Impact went 7-0 on the weekend and outscored their opponents by a margin of 68-19.

Diamond Club Fury were the winners of the High School B division after finishing with a 6-1 record with their only loss coming during pool play. Diamond Club Fury won the championship game over the Midwest Rave, who also went 6-1 on the weekend with their only loss coming in the championship game.

The championship game for the 14A division was not played due to weather and time. KC Peppers 05 and Louisville Lady Sluggers – Vanboxmeer were crowned co-champs. Louisvile Lady Sluggers went 6-1 on the weekend and KC Peppers 05 came away with a 4-3 record.

Sidekicks 07 were the champions from the 12B division going 7-0 on the weekend and outscoring opponents by an impressive 70-11 spread. After placing third place in a couple tournaments this fall, the Sidekicks got their first top finish this weekend.

On the baseball side, there were multiple divisions competing in Old Man Winter at Markey Park.

The winners of the 16Open division were the Spikes. The Spikes went 5-0 on the weekend and outscored opponents 38-5. The championship was a very close game with the Spikes coming away with the 1-0 win over Shockers Baseball. The championship game was the lone loss for Shockers Baseball as they went 4-1 on the weekend.

Complete Game Royals were the winners in the 14AA division and went undefeated on the weekend. The Complete Game Royals played Hurricanes in the championship game and came away with a 7-1 win. The Hurricanes went 4-1 on the weekend with their only loss coming in the championship game.

KC Goats were the winners in the 11AA division after defeating the KC Shockers 11-2 in the championship game. KC Goats were 4-1 on the weekend with their only loss coming during pool play to the Cyclones.

The season wraps up this coming weekend with tournaments in Kansas City, Dallas and Houston.
