October 18-20 Weekend Results

After a rainy Saturday morning, teams were able to start their games at 10 a.m. thanks to some impressive work by the grounds crew to dry up the fields and get them ready for play.

The winners out of the 18B division were Pumas Fastpitch. The Pumas went 2-1 in pool play and were dominant in bracket play, scoring 35 runs while only allowing six against them. GameReady Elite- Richardson were the second-place finishers after losing to Pumas Fastpitch in the championship game by a score of 6-5.

As the 14B division was one of the largest divisions of the weekend the brackets were split into a top flight and lower flight based off pool play standings. Mayhem 05 were the winners out of the top flight bracket going undefeated on the weekend. The Mayhem put up impressive numbers in pool play by scoring 36 runs and only allowing five. Pride 06 were the winners out of the lower flight defeating AFA 14u Dickerson by a score of 10-1 in the championship game.

The Chillicothe Fireballs 05 were the winners of the 14C division going 2-1 in pool play but staying undefeated in bracket play to win the championship game over the Coldsteel Cobras by a score of 6-3.

The 12B division was another large division for the weekend and split into the top flight and lower flight brackets. The Rockets were the winners from the top flight bracket going undefeated on the weekend and dominating competition. During pool play, the Rockers were able to score 31 runs while not allowing a single run against them. Diamond Club Cyclones were the winners from the lower flight after going 1-3 in pool play but showing up during bracket play to stay undefeated and take first place in the lower bracket.

Firecrackers 12u Gray were the first-place finishers in the 12C division after going 2-1 in pool play and having some strong performances during bracket play. The Firecrackers won the championship game over the DC Rebels 9-6.

Sting Black 10 continued their successful fall season taking first place in the top-flight of the 10C division. During pool play Sting Black 10 scores 43 runs while only allowing eight. Competitive Edge 10u were the winners out of the lower flight bracket after going 1-2 in pool play but managing to play strong during bracket play to take the championship game over KC Storm ’10 by a score of 9-1.

On the baseball side, the crack of the wood bat echoed throughout Markey Park during the Wood Bats and Bones tournament.

The VC Eagles were the winners in the 18Open division after going 2-0 in pool play, scoring 15 runs and not allowing any runs against them. The VC Eagles took that momentum into bracket play where they defeated Oak Grove Baseball in the championship game by a score of 5-3.

15U Cavaliers – Allen were the winners of the 15Open division. The Cavaliers went undefeated on the weekend outscoring opponents 30-6. The championship game was played between the Cavaliers and Olathe Vipers with the Cavaliers winning 5-2.

BROS13 were the winners from the 13AA division. BROS13 outscored their opponents on the weekend by an impressive 39-4 during pool play and 15-3 during bracket play. The Kansas City Aces came in second place after losing in the championship game 4-1.

BROS12 were the 12AA winners after going 1-1 in pool play. BROS12 had a very competitive first game of bracket play against Inside Edge – Kaylor that ended with a 2-1 score. BROS12 would then go on to win the next two bracket games 9-0 and 10-0 to take first place over the Twenty Sixers.

MO River Cats were the winners in the 10AA division over the Central Missouri Blackhawks. The MO River Cats went 5-0 on the weekend and outscored opponents 45-15, dominating their way to first place.
